Founded in 1999 Acker & Company proudly serves East Texas. Our roots in East Texas go back to 1975 when Lynn Acker began practicing accounting in Tyler. The firm has many clients for whom its principals have been performing accounting services for over 40 years. We have four professional accountants and an administrative assistant. Our clients are located throughout Central and East Texas, and include companies in Oil & Gas production, manufacturing, wholesale, construction, real estate, doctors, lawyers, dentists, veterinarians, cities, individuals and others.

- Leonard H. (Lynn) Acker, MBA,CPA: Lynn has over 40 years experience in auditing, tax, and consulting. He has extensive experience in taxation, construction industry, state and local governments, and not-for-profits. He served two years on the AICPA's "Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee," served as chairperson of the TSCPA peer review committee, chairman of the editorial board of "Today's CPA," and Vice President of the Texas Society of CPAs. He has taught continuing education courses on accounting and auditing throughout the United States.
- Mary L. Bonfanti, MBA, CPA: Mary has over 26 years experience providing accounting, tax, audit, and consulting services. She has extensive experience in auditing state and local governments, not-for-profits, and other organizations. She also has extensive experience working with various industries in the setup and maintaining of company records in accounting software as well as extensive experience working with computer accounting systems including Quickbooks and Peachtree.
- Jennifer Long, MPA: Jennifer has over 20 years experience providing accounting, audit, and tax services to clients including extensive experience in not-for-profit organizations. She also has extensive experience working with computer accounting systems including Quickbooks and Peachtree.
- Heather Huitt, BBA: Heather has over 5 years experience providing accounting, audit, and tax services to clients, including experience in water utility districts and state and local governments. She has extensive experience working with computer accounting systems including Quickbooks and Peachtree.
